Hi, I'm Adrienne

My motto is good design for good people.

I work with people trying to make the world a bit better, by helping them visualise it clearly enough that it actually lands. That means turning brilliant, complicated ideas into clear, engaging visuals that speak to your audience.

I work across brand identity, illustration, animation and information design, letting the project's goals determine the best medium. That could mean:

  • A brand identity that helps a community organisation communicate its values and attract funders.

  • A 60-second animation that explains the origin of every ingredient in a milkshake for a museum exhibition on food journeys.

  • A diagram for a think tank that is so clear it makes lightbulbs appear over the heads of technical experts and becomes the catalyst for change.

Fifteen years of visual translation

You're Kind is what 15 years of design experience with cultural institutions, research organisations and mission-driven teams looks like once it finally gets its own name.

That time has taught me to visually translate almost anything, whether that's interpreting the emotional layering of art into a book, or deciphering fluent PhD into an infographic.

What's in a name?

In school my stated career goal was "be creative and help people.” You're Kind is the grown-up version.

It's also the filter every project runs through:
is this helping the world, even a little? If the honest answer is no, I'm probably not your designer.

The other reason is simpler: my full name is long, and while it's memorable, it gets misspelled in every inbox I've ever had. You're Kind people remember.
